Mid Century Modern Headboards: 4 Vintage Inspired Bedroom Options
My parents recently moved into a new home and I took it upon myself to be the decider of how we were going to decorate the two upstairs bedrooms. Since, this is where my sister and I will stay, plus any guests when they visit, I wanted to make these rooms comfortable, cozy and minimalistic. A welcomed change from our previous childhood bedrooms which looked like somewhat of a time capsule. Walls painted with the bright and joyful shades of blue that we choose at the ages of 14 and 11.
So, to give our rooms a mature refresh, I chose to go in the direction of my preferred design style, mid century modern.
The first step? Find a bed.
The rooms are big enough for a Queen bed frame, so we had plenty of space to fit a mid century bed frame and headboard.
Let’s take a look at the mid century headboard and bed frame that we chose and some additional options that I think would look great for anyone planning to integrate a vintage inspired, minimal and timeless headboard into their bedroom.

Our Choice: ZINUS Raymond Wood Platform Bed Frame | $297 on Amazon
This bed frame was pretty easy to put together and I'm incredibly happy with the design and the sturdiness. The walnut color is rich and pairs perfectly with the rust color bedding we chose. My dad and I put the first bed frame together and then, I was able to build the majority of the second one on my own, so I would say that the assembly was pretty easy and can be done alone or with an extra set of hands. Overall, for the price & the quality - I would recommend this midcentury modern headboard and bed frame.

I lived in Paris for two years from 2016-2017 and 2018-2019. I haven’t been back to Paris or even to Europe since then and I’m starting to feel that itch to take a trip. Hoping it’s in the near future, for now — what you need to know is that Paris is a great city, with many local and unique coffee spots you need to check out.
